Job Title: Bingo Staff
Pay Range: Minimum Wage - $15.00 hourly FLSA Status: Hourly, Part Time (up to 30 hr/wk)
Closing Date: Open until filled Reports to: Bingo Manager and General Manager/Assistant Manager
SUMMARY: Performs duties by assisting the Bingo Manager/Assistant Manager while working with customers selling bingo cards and pull tabs, renting and programming Bingo machines, calling Bingo numbers and ensuring that the hall is safe and clean for customers and employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Call numbers from the stage; • Sell Bingo cards; • Sell Pull tabs; • Insures fair and equal participation by players; • Assist players as needed; • Continually checks bingo hall for safe conditions; • Clean tables, chairs, and other surfaces as required to protect the safety of customers and employees; • Report any safety, sanitation or security concerns to the Bingo Manager; and • Other duties may be assigned by the Management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None.
QUALIFICATIONS: • To perform this job successfully, an employee must have the ability and willingness to perform the essential duties and responsibilities above; • Knowledge, and ability to keep informed, of rules and regulations of the Washington State Gambling Commission pertaining to Bingo and Pull Tabs play; • Ability to be on-time for shift and dresses appropriately; and • Must not have had a misdemeanor offense in the past 2 years, no felonies, and no history of fraud, theft, or embezzlement.
EDUCATION AND/OR WITH EXPERIENCE (Minimum Requirements) The preferred employee will have a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
LANGUAGE SKILLS: • The employee must possess the attitude and ability to effectively obtain and/or present information and report to, or respond to, questions from management, vendors, customers, and regulatory agencies; and • Must have exemplary customer relations abilities.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers.
REASONING SKILLS: The ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk (staircase), and sit for prolonged periods of time. The employee may also be required to reach, climb and/or balance, and occasionally required to stoop, kneel and may life up to 30 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The Bingo staff may be exposed to humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals, inclement weather or electrical shock, and variable noise levels as found in any large building.
