Dupont BBQ Cookoff is one of the Puget Sound's great summer events and the city of Dupont has been the place to go for an amazing day of delicious BBQ, kids activities, live bands, beer garden, car show and more. Over 5000 people typically gather to celebrate this event and we invite you for 2024's event. When it comes to life in the Puget Sound, this is one of those events that you don't want to miss.

This event is proudly hosted by the American Legion Pat Tillman Memorial Post 53 Family to support our Youth Activities and Veteran’s Rehabilitation Programs.

Kids Activities

Bring your kids down for a day of fun. This is more than a BBQ competition, it's an annual family event with no parking fees, FREE entry, no fees for entertainment and bouncy houses. Sample BBQ from all of our competitors at low prices! Kids activities are sponsored by Dupont's Northwest Landing Residential Owners Association. For seven years their contribution has been significant to ensure a family fun filled addition to the BBQ competition entertaining kids with bouncy houses, games, face painting and more- ALL FREE for attendees.

Cook Team Info

This year BBQ Pitmasters will compete for $15,000 in cash prizes paying down to 10th place in each category – chicken, pork ribs, pork, and brisket. Over 40 chances to win at least $175, probably more! KCBS Rules will apply. Load in can begin as early as 0900 AM on Friday 23 August 2024. (It may be possible to drop your equipment off Thursday afternoon by special arrangement. Contact Tom for more info) I will provide more information to this site as we move along. Turn ins will be on Sunday 25 August 2024 on the following schedule:

Chicken – 12:00 PM

Ribs – 12:30 PM

Pork – 1:00 PM

Brisket – 1:30 PM

Awards – 4:00 PM
