Get ready to soar through the skies because something exciting is happening at the Bremerton National Airport on August 19 and 20, 2023! Wings Over Washington Airshow, the thrilling aviation event that has captivated crowds since its inception, is back with a new name and better than ever before.

For those of you who are not in the know, Wings Over Washington was previously known as Gig Harbor Wings and Wheels and produced by the great board of volunteers at the Tacoma Events Commission with Doug Fratoni, leading the effort. This event has been a beloved tradition for the 4th of July since 2010, and was held at the Tacoma Narrows Airport. Unfortunately, due to a lack of support from Pierce County and Gig Harbor local business owners, the event was forced to move. While this decision came at a cost of lost revenue for the people of Pierce County, the show must go on! The Wings Over Washington event at Bremerton National Airport is a fantastic opportunity for Kitsap County to boost its tourism industry. With the exciting lineup of classic military aircraft and world-class aerobatic performers, the event is sure to draw crowds from all over the region and beyond. As visitors come to experience the thrilling aviation displays, they will also have the chance to explore the local area and discover all the amazing attractions that Kitsap County has to offer. From the beautiful parks and beaches to the fascinating museums and galleries, there is something for everyone to enjoy. This event will not only provide an incredible entertainment experience but also generate revenue for local businesses and create a positive impact on the county's economy.

One of the highlights of the Wings Over Washington event at Bremerton National Airport is the impressive Erickson Aircraft Collection, which features a stunning display of vintage aircraft. The collection includes some of the most iconic planes in aviation history, including the F4U Corsair and FM-2 Wildcat. Attendees will have the opportunity to see these amazing aircraft up close and in action, as they will take to the skies for an unforgettable aerial display. It's worth noting that the F4U Corsair and FM-2 Wildcat were even featured in the movie "Devotion," which adds an extra layer of excitement and nostalgia to the event. Don't miss your chance to witness these magnificent planes in flight at Wings Over Washington!
